On Saturday 18 July 2026, Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden and Minister of Sports Martine Hansen attended the 14th stage of the Tour de France, which ran from Mulhouse (France) to Markstein-Fellering (France).
Luxembourg’s Ministry of Sports and Ministry of State reported that through their presence, Prime Minister Frieden and Minister Hansen wished to show their support for all riders participating in this edition of the Tour de France and to also encourage Alex Kirsch, the Luxembourg representative taking part in this year’s edition of the Tour de France.
The ministries also announced that Prime Minister Frieden and Minister Hansen reaffirmed Luxembourg’s interest in hosting a stage of the Tour de France in 2028.
