On Wednesday 5 March 2025, Luxembourg’s Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister for Media and Connectivity, Elisabeth Margue, participated in the meeting of the informal Council of EU Ministers of Telecommunications, which also took place on Tuesday 4 March 2025, in Warsaw, Poland.

According to a press release issued by the Media, Connectivity and Digital Policy Department (SMC) of the Ministry of State, the discussions focused on the theme of cybersecurity within the European Union, starting with an exchange on the planned update of the "cybersecurity blueprint", which aims to structure the European response to large-scale cyberattacks.

The press release added that Minister Margue called for better integration of sectoral mechanisms into the new "cybersecurity blueprint". This was followed by discussions on civil-military cooperation in cybersecurity, an area where national authorities are reported to already work closely together. Minister Margue also called for a permanent structure for the EU-CyCLONe (European cyber crisis liaison organisation) network in order to increase the level of trust within this European network.

The press release noted that the council ended on the subject of investments in cybersecurity, an important area that Luxembourg intends to support at the European level, while ensuring that it does not create disproportionate constraints.
