Luxembourg's Ministry of Finance has reported that Finance Minister Gilles Roth undertook a working visit to Poland on Sunday 24 and Monday 25 November 2024.

In Warsaw, Minister Roth met with his counterpart Andrzej Domański, Poland's Minister of Finance, in what the ministry described as "a positive atmosphere". The two ministers discussed Poland's priorities in the context of its Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2025, as well as Europe's competitiveness in the era of the Draghi report and the situation in Ukraine.

Ministers Domański and Roth then took part in the sixth edition of the Luxembourg-Poland Business Conference focusing on the challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence (AI). This flagship initiative of the Luxembourg-Poland Chamber of Commerce (LPCC) brings together experts, professionals, researchers and industry players.

Minister Roth commented: "Our friendly and dynamic relations with Poland still have potential for economic and financial development. The same goes for artificial intelligence, both in Europe and in Luxembourg. Europe and Luxembourg must continue to innovate to remain competitive, including in this sector of the future."
