Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defense, Cooperation and Foreign Trade have announced that the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Xavier Bettel, will pay a working visit to Japan, from Wednesday 24 to Friday 26 January 2024.

In Tokyo, Minister Bettel will have several bilateral meetings with members of the Japanese government. He will also travel to Osaka to participate in a ceremony marking the launch of construction work on the Luxembourg pavilion in preparation for the 2025 Universal Exhibition.

Also on the agenda of this working visit to Japan will be the strengthening of bilateral relations between Luxembourg and Japan, latest regional developments as well as the Universal Exhibition (World Expo) which will be held in Osaka.
