On Sunday 12 March 2023, His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Luxembourg travelled to Riga, Latvia for a state visit to celebrate the centenary of bilateral relations and the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between Luxembourg and Latvia.

The state visit officially starts on Monday 13 March and ends on Tuesday 14 March 2023 and is taking place at the invitation of Latvian President Egils Levits.

During this state visit, Grand Duke Henri is accompanied by Luxembourg's Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Jean Asselborn, and the Minister of the Economy, Franz Fayot, as well as an economic delegation made up of Luxembourg business representatives and members of the press, including Chronicle.lu.

Upon arrival in Riga on Sunday afternoon, Grand Duke Henri and Minister Fayot, joined by part of the delegation, had the opportunity to admire the Art Nouveau architecture of the Latvian capital's city centre during a walking tour. This was followed by a guided tour of the Latvian National Museum of Art, where Grand Duke Henri signed the visitors' book in the museum library.
