On Friday 4 July 2025, Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg (JEL) reported that two Luxembourg teams “Feel It” and “Onsko” participated at Gen-E 2025, Europe’s largest youth entrepreneurship festival, in Athens (Greece).

Team Feel It, winners of Luxembourg’s national Mini-Enterprise programme, represented the country in the JA Company competition for secondary school pupils aged fifteen to nineteen. The team, comprising Noémie Caravalho Pereira, Chloé Vegers and Max Kirsch from the Lycée Classique de Diekirch, developed a fully inclusive board game inspired by Noémie’s personal experience as a blind student, which allows blind and sighted players to participate equally. The game combines tactile wooden letters, embossed cards, a sand timer and bags made from recycled jeans and includes a digital version adapted for the visually impaired. During the project, the team were supported by teacher Pitt Schneider and mentor Clémentine Offner.

In the higher education category, team Onsko entered the JA Start-Up competition after winning Luxembourg’s Young Enterprise Project (YEP). Students Pierre Felten, Michael Marques Figueiredo and Giovanni Isabel Kemevuako from BTS (Higher Technician Certificate) - Digital Content at Lycée Nic Biever Dudelange, pitched a cultural platform dedicated to Luxembourgish art. Their digital marketplace enables individuals and professionals to buy, sell or rent local artworks. The project aims to expand access to the arts through a community-focused network and dedicated events and, through the use of integrated artificial intelligence (AI), allows users to visualise artworks in their homes. During their project, the team were mentored by Jessica David, Jeff Lemmer and Sébastien Jungen.

The event also saw Luxembourg’s Lycée Aline Mayrisch, represented at the event by Sandra Thibeau, receive the Entrepreneurial School Award, which recognises ten international schools that promote entrepreneurship at all levels and prepare students for the future of work. JEL said that this “marks a significant milestone in Luxembourg’s commitment to entrepreneurial education”.

Moreover, it was revealed that Luxembourg will host the Gen-E European finals in 2027. The event will bring together more than 1,000 participants from over 40 countries and will offer hundreds of selected students the chance to present their entrepreneurial projects and innovative ideas on an international stage. The competition aims to promote entrepreneurship, build young people's skills in leadership, innovation and teamwork and foster connections with business leaders and experts.
