At the invitation of the President of the United Nations General Assembly, Abdulla Shahid, Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Mobility and Public Works, François Bausch, will be in New York from Thursday 30 June 30 to Friday 1 July 2022 and will participate in the United Nations Road Safety Fund (UNRSF) Pledging Conference 2022.

The theme of the conference will be “Road Safety to 2030: Ensuring a Decade of Action and Achievement”.

This trip will also allow Minister Bausch to participate at round table 3 entitled "Sustained domestic investments and international financing for capacity-building and development assistance in evidence-based road safety interventions" on Friday 1 July in order to launch the interactive discussion on road safety funding.

On the sidelines of this high-level event on road safety, Minister Bausch will also have a bilateral meeting with the President Shahid, as well as with Jean Todt, Special Envoy of the Secretary General of the United Nations for road safety, in terms of the Luxembourg government's commitment to improving road safety.

There will also be an opportunity to have a meeting with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Serghei Diaconu.
