Economic interest group GIE Luxembourg @ Expo 2020 Dubai has announced the selection of five Luxembourgish wines and one crémant as part of the gastronomic component of the Luxembourg Pavilion at the Expo 2020 in Dubai.

Following the selection of chef Kim Kevin de Dood and his team to implement the gastronomic component of the Luxembourg Pavilion, representatives of GIE Luxembourg @ Expo 2020 Dubai, the Horesca, the Wine Institute (Institut viti-vinicole) and the Luxembourg Hotel and Tourism School (EHTL) have just presented the wines and crémants selected for the "Schengen Lounge" restaurant at the Luxembourg pavilion at the Expo 2020 in Dubai.

In honour of the diversity of the Moselle grape varieties and using a blind tasting, five wines and one crémant were chosen from around a hundred wines and crémants, presented by some 30 winegrowers.

The selected wines and crémant were: Auxerrois 2018, Domaine Thill; Pinot Blanc 2018 Molaris, Clos «Mon Vieux Moulin» - DUHR-Frères; Pinot Gris 2018 Puits d'Or, Domaine Madame Aly Duhr; Riesling 2018 Ahn Palmberg, Caves Berna; Pinot Noir 2017, Domaine viticole Krier-Bisenius; Crémant Cuvée Spéciale Blanc de Noirs, Pundel Vins Purs.

The selection of these wines and crémant aims to promote the know-how and passion of Luxembourg winegrowers, in combination with the promotion of a culinary art specific to the country, at Expo 2020 Dubai. The tasting served to select wines that perfectly match the characteristics of modern and inventive cuisine, such as that proposed by Kim Kevin de Dood and his team.

This selection will be showcased at Expo 2020 Dubai, which will run from 20 October 2020 until 10 April 2021.
