The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, yesterday delivered an hommage in honour of the President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, who was bestowed with the 'Middle-East' Award of the Deustche Initiative für den Osten nähen (DINO).
The Minister was in Düsseldorf at the invitiation of the DINO President, whereMartin Schulz was awarded this accolade. DINO President, Ruprecht Polenz, stated that the award is designed to reward individuals who have demonstrated exceptional engagaement in the region and have distinguished themselves by educating the general public in an informed, critical and independent manner.
Jean Asselborn has held the 'Middle East' prize, the German initiative for the Middle East, since 2013.
