From 13 to 15 July 2015, the Minister of Cooperation and Humanitarian Action, Romain Schneider, will lead the Luxembourg delegation at the 3rd International Conference on Financing for Development in Addis Ababa.
This conference will discuss the requirements of ensuring appropriate funding for development challenges in an increasingly interconnected world, with consideration of the need to finance the implementation of the new sustainable development goals which will be approved at the Special Summit of the United Nations, taking place at the end of September in New York.
The Minister will speak in plenary session and at a roundtable on "Global partnership and the three dimensions of sustainable development." As part of the EU Presidency, a joint press conference will be held with the Commissioner Mimica.
Minister Schneider will also participate on 14 July 2015 in consultation with Francophone ministers and a series of additional events during the Conference, including "Beyond 2015: Financing Equitable Access to Health", co-organised by Luxembourg.
