As Deloitte's annual World Meeting was underway in Vancouver, the company announced the appointment of new global Deloitte CEO, Punit Renjen.
This year's meeting also provided an opportunity to reveal the new composition of the Board of Directors, which will be assisting Punit Renjen in addition to the entire Deloitte network of member firms.
Current Managing Partner of Deloitte Luxembourg, Yves Francis, was elected to the Global Board of Directors, highlighting the growing importance of the Luxembourg member firm within the larger network.
"Deloitte Luxembourg is recognised as making a measurable impact on the Group strategy," commented Yves Francis, who will retain his position as Deloitte Luxembourg's Managing Partner in addition to new function on the Board of Directors. "The appointment is a further recognition of the important roles played by several of our Luxembourg partners on a global or EMEA leveland of our ability to export our expertise to other member firms".
Deloitte is comprised globally of 12,000 partners and 210,000 professionals at member firms present and active in more than 150 countries. The Luxembourg branch of the Deloitte network consists of more than 90 partners and over 1,700 employees.
