On Friday 27 February 2026, Etihad Airways announced that it will bring "a taste of its hospitality" to Luxembourg City with a pop-up experience at two cafés ahead of the airline's new direct service between Luxembourg and Abu Dhabi.
The airline confirmed that it will launch three weekly non-stop flights between Luxembourg and Abu Dhabi from Friday 23 October 2026 (initially announced as 29 October).
On Monday 2 March 2026, the airline will transform two centrally located coffee shops into temporary Etihad lounges, offering visitors what it described as "a moment of warmth, curiosity and a glimpse of the new destinations that will soon be within easy reach" from Luxembourg Airport.
This pop-up experience will take place simultaneously at cafés located at 51 Boulevard Royal (2449 Luxembourg-Ville) and 32 Boulevard de Kockelscheuer (1821 Luxembourg-Gasperich).
According to the airline, both venues will feature Etihad's signature styling, with Arabic coffee, date lattes and Thai-inspired mocktails served in destination-themed Arabic coffee cups. Etihad cabin crew will be present throughout the day to answer questions about flying to Abu Dhabi and onward connections across the airline's growing network.
The event will also provide an opportunity for those interested in a career as cabin crew to meet Etihad representatives in person and learn more about the training programme, day-to-day responsibilities and life in Abu Dhabi.
The Luxembourg route will be operated by Etihad's Airbus A321LR, the latest addition to the airline's fleet. According to the airline, First Suites and lie-flat Business seats will offer direct aisle access, while Economy passengers will have next-generation seats equipped with 4K touchscreen TVs and Bluetooth connectivity, alongside onboard Wi-Fi.
