At its Annual General Meeting held last Wednesday 16 March 2016, it was decided that the Association PSF de Support (APSFS) is to be renamed Finance & Technology Luxembourg a.s.b.l., in alignment with the new approach and with the emergence of FinTech in Luxembourg.

The mission of the association is to inform, support and encourage synergies between PSF member companies to now support FinTech companies in Luxembourg.

The general meeting was also an opportunity to make the statutory appointments and the Board of Directors now consists of Thierry Seignert, Olivier Deboeck, Gérard Hoffmann, Sylvie Prime, Jean-Francois Terminals, Denis Stoz, Michael Hofmann and Patrick Kemper.

The president is Thierry Seignert, Director General at IBM Services Financial Sector Luxembourg, and Vice-President Olivier Deboeck, Director General of Computacenter PSF.

The work programme of Luxembourg Financial Technology a.s.b.l. for the year 2016 will be based on three main themes:

- The evolution of the status of Support PFS;

- New tax guidance for Belgian residents;

- The establishment of a structured approach to the FinTech subject.

For this, the organisation will count on the support of its 46 members in the hope that other PSFs and FinTech companies will join it to strengthen its ranks. Several FinTech companies consulted by the president of the association have already shared their wish to join the association. Apart from its traditional annual conference, it will continue to organise breakfast debates with a focus this quarter on knowledge of the Swiss financial sector. Involved in the FinTech working group of Digital Lëtzebuerg, Finance & Technology Luxembourg a.s.b.l. will look back on the evolution of the PSF.
