Chronicle.lu has been allocated five pairs of tickets for the Opening Screening of the British & Irish Film Festival Luxembourg 2024 Autumn Edition.

The Opening Screening is being held on Monday 16 September 2024 at 19:00 at the Cinémathèque in Luxembourg-Ville.

The film The Teacher (EN, QA, Pal) will be screened, followed by the short film Warts and All (IE), as well as a Q&A with the latter's director, Pat Shortt.

The Teacher synopsis: Directed by Farah Nabulsi, this drama film follows a Palestinian schoolteacher as he struggles to reconcile his life-threatening commitment to political resistance with emotional support for one of his students, and the chance of a new romantic relationship with a volunteer worker. Simultaneously, an American couple seek the return of their son who has been held hostage for three years.

Winners will be contacted directly; their tickets will be available for collection from the festival ticket desk at the cinema entrance prior to the screening.
