The Luxembourg Chronicle, in collaboration with the Grand Theatre de la Ville de Luxembourg, is offering two pairs of tickets to the 2016-17 season opening this Thursday 29 September 2016 at 20:00 at the Grand Théâtre; for details on how to enter, see below.
Cold Blood is by Jaco Van Dormael (who rose to fame in his last film The Brand New Testament – which was co-produced here in Luxembourg and which was nominated at the Golden Globes this year) and Michèle Anne De Mey.
At its creation in Mons back in 2011, Kiss & Cry became an instant success and has toured around the world to universal acclaim ever since. A brilliant makeshift affair between cinema, dance, music and theatre, Kiss & Cry is the creation of choreographer Michèle Anne De Mey and film director Jaco Van Dormael and together with their team they conquered audiences everywhere, telling the story of Gisele with their fingertips.
In 2015, no sequel, no epilogue. Even though it reunites the same team, Cold Blood is a standalone journey, a new lyrical adventure into a world where hands become astronauts, where fingers run over doll-like sets and the moon, a camera dances, a voice tells a story. Combining yet again nano-dance and cinema Cold Blood aims to sweep audiences away – just like Kiss & Cry did – inbetween dream and reality into the nano universe.
