The 2024 Schueberfouer funfair at the Glacis carpark in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg will take place from 23 August to 11 September 2024; it is one of the biggest funfairs in Europe with two hundred stands and two million visitors expected.
The Schueberfouer is the largest fair in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. Every year, from the end of August to the beginning of September, the City of Luxembourg's funfair invites visitors to gather on the four-hectare glacis field, which offers a unique atmosphere for the occasion.
The Schueberfouer is also a stronghold of popular gastronomy and innovation. Among other things, visitors can look forward to the delicious "Gromperekichelcher" - the traditional Luxembourgish potato fritters.
The City of Luxembourg (VdL) organises the event, striving to offer a mix of tradition, gastronomy and fairground rides every year with the Schueberfouer, which is unique in this form in Europe.
As every year, special theme days are organised. Family Day will allow you to enjoy discounted prices on attractions, games, sideshows, and rides all day long and all across the fairground.
On the last day of the Schueberfouer, visitors will be able to take advantage of attractions at half-price until 20:00 before enjoying a fireworks show at 22:00 on the Pont Grand Duchess Charlotte. The Schueberfouer comes to an end on 11 September at one o’clock in the morning.
Created in 1340 by John the Blind, Count of Luxembourg, to turn the city into a trading stop between Flanders and Italy.
