Details:

Handicap International is organising the first Kapuscinski Development Lecture (KDL) in Luxembourg on Tuesday 24 March 2020 at the University of Luxembourg in Esch-Belval, from 17:00: POSTPONED (DATE TBC).

Organised for the first time in Luxembourg by Handicap International, this conference is part of the KDL series and will focus on inclusive education in developing countries. The purpose of this conference, held in English, is to understand how the interaction of multiple factors of exclusion (such as gender or disability), leads to increased discrimination and marginalisation of children worldwide.

This conference is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 agenda of the United Nations (UN), particularly SDG number 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and to promote lifelong learning opportunities for all by 2030.

Speaking at this high-level conference will be Dr Toyin Aderemi, who works at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) as a Disability Advisor seconded by Handicap International.

While the conference is aimed at professionals in the development sector as well as students, the conference is open to the general public.
