The Greek Cinema Club (Ciné-Club Hellénique de Luxembourg) is screening the film Meat (Greece, 2024, 104 min, colour) at Ciné Utopia in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg on Tuesday 24 February 2026 at 19:00 and on Wednesday 25 February 2026 at 21:00.
The drama-thriller, directed by Dimitris Nakos, will be presented in the original Greek version with English subtitles. It is not suitable for children under the age of sixteen.
Synopsis: Roots of an ancient Greek tragedy blossom when a patriarch confronts a fateful decision involving his son and the boy he raised after a long-standing feud escalates to murder. In a village in the Greek countryside, Takis prepares the opening of his new butcher shop. One day before the inauguration, his son Pavlos kills the neighbour who claims part of their land. The only witness is Christos, a young man from Albania whom Takis has had with him since childhood.
