The British Chamber of Commerce has announced that, in partnership with the University of Luxembourg’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) and Delano, it is organising a live online event: "Higher Innovation - From Research to Spinoffs" on Thursday 29 April at 12:30.

Did you know that Luxembourg is leading the way in academic research focusing on Autonomous Vehicles, Space Systems and Resources …? The BCC's Business and Innovation Group invites you to discover the SnT, the hidden jewel in Luxembourg’s innovation ecosystem.

The SnT conducts interantionally competative research in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) targeting initiatives with the potential to create a significant socio-economic impact. But SnT is not just academia, it works closely with over 55 industry partners targeting six strategic areas to address ICT challenges confronting industry, the public and private sectors:

  • FinTech
  • Autonomous Vehicles
  • Internet of Things
  • Cybersecurity
  • Secure and Compliant Data Management
  • Space Systems

Several successful projects have resulted in technology transfer or even the creation of spinoff companies, proving that the SnT has truly become the bridge between academia and business.

At this event, the BCC will discuss with the SnT their current research projects and strategic priorities for 2021, hear first-hand from a research partner on the anticipated competitive advantage for Luxembourg and the international business community and lastly focus on how research can become a reality through business creation.

Speakers:
• Carlo Duprel, Head of Technology Transfer, SnT
• Andrey Martovoy, Digital Strategy, FinTech & Innovation Adviser, ABBL
• Dr. German Castignani, CEO, Motion-S

The discussion will be moderated by Natalie Gerhardstein, Journalist, Delano.
