The 2021 edition of Luxembourg Internet Days is being held online from 16 to 18 November 2021.

Due to the pandemic, LU-CIX, the organiser of the Luxembourg Internet Days, has decided to organise a digital event for the second year running. Following a successful digital event in 2020, using the same online event platform, the 2021 edition will continue to offer all the features of a high-quality live event - as though everybody were there in person.

Network Security & Cloud Security will once again take centre stage, as they are essential components in preventing crises and keeping business running. Pragmatic sharing throughout the three days will help chief information officers (CIOs), chief technology officers (CTOs), chief information security officers (CISOs), data protection officers (DPOs) and decision makers from all sectors to stay on top of evolving threats and help them to identify the most appropriate solutions to tackle the challenges they are facing.

When it comes to the Internet and the Cloud, 2021 is no exception: cybersecurity is still the number one topic. There will be much to discuss, debate, explain and challenge through panel discussions, keynote speeches, workshops and networking. As such, the organiser has selected the hottest topics mostly gathered under the umbrella of the European Cybersecurity strategy. This includes the ambition of the Gaia-X project, zero trust vs traditional operating models, post quantum cryptography as the most promising defence against quantum attacks, an update on the NIS Directive and the ins and outs of the emerging Cyberinsurance possibility.

The full day of 18 November will be dedicated to the specific challenges which the finance and insurance sectors face in securing their Internet access and deploying compliant Cloud-based services in accordance with European regulations, directives and local circulars.

No fewer than three government ministers, who are involved in these important topics at the highest level, as well as many key international experts have already confirmed their presence to contribute their insights and vision for the present and the near future. Cross-sector panel discussions will boost exchanges and spark discussions. Presentations, interviews and workshops will allow mutual enrichment while the virtual exphibition area throughout the event and the networking tool will support sharing from a single digital platform: Swapcard.
