The European Asset Management Conference organised by the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) is to be held on Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 March 2019 at LuxExpo the Box in Luxembourg-Kirchberg

The event will examine the "4 Ps" of asset management - Product, People, Progress, Prediction - and will look at key business drivers, strategic issues, innovation in operations, asset allocation, product development and many other pertinent subjects.

From topical updates on regulatory developments to asset managers sharing their fascinating stories on ESG approaches, expect two days of productive debates and exchanging ideas at the annual gathering of the European asset management community #ALFIEAM19.

Highlights of the programme

- The role of asset managers in the provision of pensions. AMs operating in Europe are welcoming the proposed addition to their toolkit in the form of the PEPP. This panel will look at this large-scale, portable and cost-efficient product, designed to encourage long-term investment in a sustainable manner in the real economy while enabling AMs to tailor products to suit their business models.

- There is so much we can do: case studies of ESG approaches. The spectrum of "sustainable" investment funds is as large and innovative as it is diversified. From exclusion to positive impact, what are sustainable investment funds really doing? Are they contributing towards a better world? Asset managers tell their fascinating stories from the field.
