Details: The Rotondes in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie will host an evening centred around "The True Cost" documentary film on Wednesday 20 April 2016 at 18:30 that focuses on the theme of Ethical shopping.

"The True Cost" film was created in several countries and goes behind the scenes of the clothing industry and prompts to ask the question "who pays the real price of our clothes?" It follows models on the catwalk only to then travel to the darkest slums as well as giving a voice to influential leaders such as Vandana Shiva (an Indian scholar, environmental activist and anti-globalisation author; she is also one of the leaders and board members of the International Forum on Globalization), Stella McCartney (English fashion designer) and Livia Firth (an Italian film produce who works with documentaries).

Before and after the screening of the documentary, the Luxembourg-based AKABO Fashion Bus will be available to those wishing to purchase their products of ecological clothes. The project, launched by Lyne and Karel Lambert, believes that it is important to make ethical and responsible choices in daily life.

Those attending the event will also be treated to food by the Steffen Traiteur which has created a menu based on flavours from textile producing countries with Fairtrade produce specifically for this event.

Menu:
• Small beef salad with coriander and mint cucumber onion (V: taboulé de boulgour)
• Artisanal Bread at "Bread and Tradition"
• Authentic miso soup
• Indian Brioch'in curry chicken, paprika and poppy seeds
• Prawns butter turmeric and purple rice (V: Cube roasted tofu)
