Details: The University of Luxembourg has announced details of a one-day conference that will take place on Friday 15 April 2016 from 08:30 at its Kirchberg Campus (room Paul Feidert, 6 rue Richard Coudenhove-Kalergi, 1359 Luxembourg-Kirchberg).
The conference of the European Migration Network titled "Tackling Statelessness. Exchange of Experiences and Good practices" will focus on the issue of stateless people – persons who are not considered as nationals by any State. Currently 600,000 people are stateless in Europe out of at least 10 million people worldwide.
The conference will bring together specialists from different backgrounds to tackle this issue on European, international and national levels and to exchange good practices. Among others, the topic will be discussed by representatives of the European Commission, the European Network on Statelessness and experts from different universities. Corinne Cahen, Luxembourg’s Minister for Family Affairs and Integration, will open the conference.
The conference will be held in and translated into English and French.
