On Saturday 23 January 2016, the Théâtre de la Ville d'Esch/Alzette will host a Gala for the laureates of the Conservatoire de Ville de Luxembourg, d'Esch/Alzette and du Nord.

At the Gala, the winners of the national contest for the top graduate of the year 2014/15 will present excerpts from the repertoires they acquired during their course and will be joined by the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra (OPL).

The programme of the Gala, which has been organsied in collaboration with the Conservatoire de Musique de la Ville d'Esch/Alzette, will offer a diverse range of talents. Works presented will include those of G. Cabay, A. Dvořák, A. Khachaturian, L. Liebermann, L. Spohr and a new composition by Maurizio Spiridigliozzi (winner of the Conservatory of the City of Luxembourg). Performers will be Bernar Véronique (clarinet, Conservatoire de Musique de la Ville of Esch / Alzette), Anne-Catherine Feltgen (violin, Conservatoire du Nord), Tom Feltgen (cello, Conservatoire du Nord), Vanessa Lommer (piccolo, Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg) and Arthur Possing (vibraphone, Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg).

The Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra (OPL) will be conducted by Adrian Prabava who made his international breakthrough in 2005 when he won second prize at the 49th International Competition for Young Conductors in Besançon. He then became the musical assistant to Kurt Masur at the Orchestre National de France in Paris between 2006 and 2008.
