Details: When I Grow Up has announced an EduTational Activities WorkShop For children in Luxembourg on Sunday 24 January 2016 from 10:00 16:00 at Novotel Luxembourg Centre (35 rue du Laboratoire, Luxembourg city).

What are some of the dreams and goals and adventures your children want to bring to life in 2030? What about the fears standing in their way today?

One of the biggest fear children have is the horrifying moment they loose their teeth. At the same time, a wise man said, "If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” So, When I Grow Up is turning one of children’s biggest fear into their greatest friend.

The participants will make a short film and change the story they have in mind when thinking about losing a tooth. Their tooth will turn into their best friend, who is going to help them get one step closer to their desired future. It will be their talisman on their growing up journey.

At the end of the workshop, your children will have:

•the hero's journey strategy to visualise and practice on a daily basis

• while logic can take them from A to Z, but imagination can take them everywhere, children will have understood the power of using their imagination to turn their fears into their best friends

• a short film co-created by themselves around the subject TOOTH - MY BEST FRIEND

• the tooth fairy certificate (which will be sent by post)

• a bit of more media literacy know-how

• on request, registration in the casting database

Children are asked to bring along their own plasticine. The workshop location is kindly sponsored by Novotel, which supports the When I Grow Up initiative with their family-friendly premises so the children have the ideal conditions to delve into media literacy, enjoy the hero’s journey and so much more…
