The last Luxembourg Digital Privacy Salon of the year will be held on Saturday 12 December 2015, open free-of-charge to everyone regardless of technical proficiency.

These Digital Privacy Salons aim to teach people the basics of protecting themselves and their data from intrusive surveillance by providing a platform for skill and knowledge sharing. Examples of topics tackled include private conversations over instant messaging, encrypting e-mails and anonymous browsing.

Saturday's event, organised by Syn2cat will involve discussions of the importance of cryptography; anonymity and anti-tracking tools; the installation of such online anonymity tools; securing communications; making sure participants cannot be easily tracked online; and a casual drink and a chat! Free pizza will be provided.

No prior technical knowledge is assumed, and participants are invited to ask any questions they might have. Attendees should bring a device or devices on which they wish to install tools.
