Details: On Wednesday 18 November 2015, the Institute of Education and Society (InES) and the Interdisciplinary Center for Security Reliability and Trust (SNT) of the University of Luxembourg will organise a Human-Robot-Interaction Day.
Besides the Presentation of the installation CoRobots at 14:30 at MUDAM, there will be a public lecture on “Situatedness and Responsiveness in Human-Robot-Interaction. Toward interactional competences for a museum guide robot?” at 18:00 on Campus Belval. Using the example of a robotic museum guide, Prof. Karola Pitsch will explore ways in which the robot could deal with the situatedness of social interaction and to be responsive to the user’s conduct.
The talk gives insights into results from field studies in a real-world museum with Aldebaran’s NAO robot acting as a museum guide.
The public lecture in the evening will take place at the University of Luxembourg, on Campus Belval, Maison des Sciences Humaines, Black Box (ground floor), 11 Porte des Sciences, 4366 Esch-sur-Alzette.
