Following the first volume in April earlier this year, 'Les Émergences' is back this November for Volume II to reveal to the public the new faces of contemporary dance in the Grand Duchy.

The event forms part of the programme initiated by the Centre de Création Chorègraphique Luxembourgeois (TROIS C-L) which aims to promote the professionalisation of young Luxembourg choreography and desseminate it both nationally and internationally.

The second edition is again the result of a collaboration between TROIS C-L and Cercle Cité, who will be inviting the public to discover excerpts of the creations in preview during a 'Prélude' evening on Monday 9 November 2015. The creations will then be showcased in their entirety from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 November 2015 at the Banannefabrik.

Volume II will feature:

  • SOLI-TUDE: Two soloists Grégory Beaumont and Jennifer Gohier will simultaneously explore two sides to loneliness - one suffered, representing a source of anxiety, and the other chosen, a necessary condition of the creative act.
  • Fest: Piera Jovic and Georges Maikel Pires Monteiro will provide meanderings of a life together, conducted in private.
  • Secrets: Giovanni Zazzera looks at the ambivalence of secrets, in their capacity as both a strong oppression and a necessary evil for balance in every human being, which can both help buil or destroy their host when they get out of control.
  • Dieu/Monstre: This meeting between God and Monster by Hannah Ma is a contemporary interpretation of ancestral rites of Man.

The performances will then be at 20:00 on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 November 2015 and at 17:00 on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2015. This will be at the Banannefabrik at 12, rue du Puits, L-2355 Luxembourg-Bonnevoie. For tickets, visit www.danse.lu
