On Thursday 26 November 2015, Casino 2000 will be offering a pop-rock double bill with Glaswegian group Little Eye and Luxembourg-born Go By Brooks.
Delivered from the same city which created such musical greats as Simple Minds, Travis, Texas, Franz Ferdinand and Angus Young, Little Eye have made a name for themselves since winning the Young Scot Awards for unsigned talent in 2011. Their victory from amongst 2,000 participants led to a contract with the Waterboys manager and an earnest YouTube following from their revamp of the song 'Monster' by Paramore.
In May 2013, they brought first single 'Choked Up' to British and Luxembourgish airwaves and in 2014 they produced their debut album 'Fighting the Future'. Since then singer/songwriter Allan, drummer Jay, guitarist Euan and bassist Marcus have played on the main stage at the Isle of Wight Festival twice and opened for Blondie in Glasgow last year.
With EP 'Dreamers' released in early 2015, the group will be closing the year with a debut performance in the Grand Duchy in the 'Purple Lounge' at Casino 2000 in Mondorf-les-Bains.
Little Eye will be supported by Luxembourgish band Go By Brooks, who have made leaps and bounds in establishing a name for themselves on the country's music scene with their Leonard Cohen, Lissie and Damien Rice inspired pop rock project.
For singer and guitarist Laetitia Koener, Jérôme Moes on synthesiser and backing vocals, drummer and percusionist Gilles Krein, bassist Sacha Heck and guitarist Nicolas Palumbo, 2015 has represented a myriad of music festival perfomances, including Fête de la Musique, Cultural Festival and Festival de Wiltz. The group are due to provide the supporting act for Ron Sexsmith and Eric Martin (Mr. Big) at Thursday's singer/songwriter night at Op der Schmelz in Dudelange.
