Details: The inaugural Luxembourg Art Week is being organised from 3 - 8 November 2015 at the Halle Victor Hugo in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg and brings together 19 international galleries and 34 artists selected by the Artistic Circle of Luxembourg, out of 120 applicants.

A programme of guided tours and lectures will complement exchanges between artists and art lovers.

Luxembourg and international galleries will be presenting both emerging and renowned contemporary artists, alongside those of the Luxembourg scene, supported by the Artistic Circle of Luxembourg (CAL). The CAL (which this year celebrates 122 years) has had works by some 40 artists selected by an international jury, exhibited over an area of 1,000 m2 for the best of artistic creation in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. In total, twenty stands of 30-70 m2 will welcome the most important galleries of Luxembourg and actors of neighbouring countries.

Luxembourg Art Week presents works of art and their authors to a diverse audience of enthusiasts, including collectors and industry professionals, potential buyers of these artistic achievements, with the project itself acting as a meeting and exchange platform between artists and the public. Visitors and exhibitors will find the opportunity to interact, establish contacts and expand their networks.

In the future, Luxembourg Art Week prevail as a new institution has in Luxembourg's cultural and artistic landscape, and will become an unmissable event for anyone interested in art.

En même temps sera présenté le livre «Piccolo Mondo – Un an d’art contemporain au Luxembourg vu de l’intérieur» par Josée Hansen (éditions d’Lëtzebuerger Land et art contemporain.lu asbl)
