The Scottish Association of Luxembourg has announced it will be holding a St Andrew's Celebration on Friday 27 November 2015.

Whilst St. Andrew's Day marks Scotland's official national day, St. Andrew himself is also the patron saint of Greece, Romania, Russia, Poland and Ukraine. In Scotland the day, which falls on 30 November, is often celebrated with traditional Scottish food, music and dance such as ceilidh dancing, involving couples dancing in circles or sets.

In Luxembourg, the day will be honoured on 27 November with festivities at the residence of the Honourable Alice Walpole, the British Ambassador. The Luxembourg Pipe Band and the Luxembourg Scottish Country Dance Club will be present to provide fine Scottish music and dancing displays, in which guests will be encourage to join.

Ticket prices are still to be confirmed, but are expected to cost €40 per person. This will include drinks, such as crémant, wine, beer and soft drinks; finger food; music; and dancing.
