Details: The world premiere show “MONACO ou les amants du Rocher” will take place in the Rockhal on Thursday 24 September 2015 with an additional two exceptional performances on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 September at Rockhal in Esch-Belval - described as a journey through the most beautiful symbols of Monaco and a unique experience for the audience.
“MONACO ou les amants du Rocher” is a large and unique contemporary show which tells a story about love and romance. Franҫois the dreamer, who has arrived from elsewhere, will live this story with the beautiful Agnes during the glamorous years of Monaco. According to the wishes of Prince Albert II of Monaco, it is an invitation to transcendence, a true rite of passage; beyond appearances...This unusual show is intended to highlight the Principality of Monaco through its finest and most powerful symbols.
Created by the Cirque Éloize and directed by Krista Monson who has already orchestrated over 40 shows in Canada and in the United States before working for the renowned Cirque du Soleil, “MONACO ou les amants du Rocher” will be accompanied by René Dupéré’s music (author of the famous eponymous show “Alegria”), along with Debra Brown’s choreography (who has collaborated with Celine Dion, Madonna or the Cirque du Soleil) and it is none other than Garou who lends his voice to the show.
“MONACO ou les amants du Rocher” is a contemporary blockbuster interpreted by 30 artists mixing dance, theatre, and circus at the highest level on an entirely original music. High-level acrobatics, tango, Memphis, jookin and original music blended with talent and elegance to tell the story of Monaco through the eyes of Franҫois who is amazed.
This is a unique family show which will be a new experience for the audience who will embark on an emotional journey. For originality there is, thanks to new technologies, video graphic effects to motion capture; the viewer will be immediately captivated upon entering the hall. Immersed in a world of film, it is an integral part of the show: It is set in Monaco, enjoying its charms, its culture and through the seaside red carpet, from the casino to the Formula 1 Grand prix, one does not attend a performance,but rather experiences it in depth.
