Details: The Indian Business Chamber of Luxembourg (IBCL) is organising an evening seminar on Thursday 21 May 2015 from 18:00 at the Lux Future Lab on Bld Royal in Luxembourg city centre on the topic “Can Bitcoin really drive E-Commerce?"
Bitcoin is a digital currency which allows transactions to be performed without banks or any other centralized system. It enables person to transfer money without any transaction fee. This conference will focus on how Bitcoin can really drive E-commerce and analyse the advantages and disadvantages of bitcoin if it is being used in E-commerce in place of real money.
SPEAKERS
Patrick Murck: Patrick is a founding member and Executive Director for the Bitcoin Foundation. His expertise extend across the legal and regulatory issues governing the use of bitcoin, decentralized financial systems, virtual economies, alternative payment systems, and social loyalty and reward programs. He is a member of the bar in Virginia and Washington D.C. Patrick has held executive roles in a number of digital currency companies.
Nadia Manzari: Nadia is the Head of Innovation, payments, markets infrastructure and Governance at “Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier”, Luxembourg. Earlier she was the Deputy Head of International and policy department at CSSF. She is an expert in Electronic money institutions, E-money, remuneration policy, corporate governance, MIFID, rules of conduct and consumer protection.
