Details: Bee Together and Slow Food Grand-Duché are organising the Months of Honey programme to sweeten your senses from 18 April to 21 June 2015.
11 restaurants, ice cream shops, cheese shops, cafés, and cooking classes will be proposing dishes and ideas using local honey.
During the Months of Honey, visits to beehives will be organised to discover the fascinating world of honeybees and their environment. The current Beehive Visit dates are 18 April, 19 April, 25 April, 26 April and 10 May, from 10:00 - 12:00 each day. Additional dates may be organised in May and/or June.
The meeting locations are in Luxembourg City and will be sent to those who register for the event. They are led by Hubert von Dewitz, interim President, Luxembourg City Beekeepers' Club.
The first practical session will be organised at Hubert von Dewitz's apiary in Kirchberg / Neudorf area on 24 April from 12:30 to 13:45. To work with Hubert's bees, normally a veil is not required. However, if you would feel more at ease in wearing a veil, hat, and gloves, please purchase them at one of the beekeeping suppliers.
Bee Together is a group promoting the importance of bees, the bee’s lifecycle and beekeeping.
