On Sunday 27 April 2025, Etzella Ettelbruck were crowned champions of the 2024/2025 season in Luxembourg’s Men’s Enovos Basketball League.

The third match of the final series took place on the home court of Etzella Ettelbruck, who, after winning the first two games against T71 Dudelange, led the series 2–0 and were just one victory away from the title. The teams started the game evenly, with neither side able to establish a significant lead. For the hosts, forward Quatarrius Deaundrey Wilson collected fifteen points across the first and second quarters, while for the visitors, guard Edward Colbert Iii contributed a team-high twelve points. Etzella went into half-time holding a narrow 37–36 advantage.

In the third quarter, the visitors managed to take a five-point lead (50–55), with two three-pointers each from Brandon Kenneth Randolph and Edward Colbert III proving crucial. However, by the end of the ten-minute period, Ettelbruck had reduced the deficit to just one point, as Quatarrius Deaundrey Wilson added a further eleven points to his tally.

A decisive two-minute stretch midway through the final quarter saw Dudelange concede a run to the hosts, who pulled ahead by eleven points (77–66). This proved enough for Gavin Love’s team to maintain control and secure victory, closing out the game 87–80.

As in the previous two matches of the final series, forward Quatarrius Deaundrey Wilson recorded a double-double, finishing as the game’s top scorer with 33 points and 15 rebounds. For Etzella Ettelbruck, who had fallen short in last year’s final against Amicale Steesel and again in the Luxembourg Cup final against Basket Esch in March 2025, the season ended with them finally lifting the Champion’s trophy.

“To be honest, obviously we would have loved to achieve the double, but that was one basket and we didn’t play well. We didn’t deserve it. I really feel that if we had won that [Cup final], maybe we wouldn't be here now. We've had an amazing season - only losing two regular season games is pretty spectacular to have that kind of consistency. We won almost every single close game and I'm not sure we'll be able to do that again, but the championship - we might be able to do that again. It was a phenomenal season. The players gave up a lot of time and put in a hell of a lot of effort. They were extremely committed, a very easy group to coach and it was a great season all round,” said Etzella Ettelbruck head coach, Gavin Love.

In an interview with Chronicle.lu, T71 Dudelange head coach Yves Defraigne also shared his thoughts: "The previous game and now today, I think we played all our cards, we did everything we had to do. Again, they were a little bit more mature in crucial moments. They made threes, attacked the basket. We got emotional, we had turnovers and technical fouls. This is something you cannot afford. So maybe that is the difference. But they completely deserve the victory because, for me, they dominated the whole league this year. We can be very happy with reaching the final, something that no one expected at the beginning of the year. We finished in the top four."
