Details: The 20th annual Streeta(rt)nimation festival with hit Luxembourg city's streets on the second week-end of August, organised by the Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO).
A total of 105 outdoor shows featuring street artists and entertainers will take place on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 August.
For this 20th edition, founded during the 1995 European Capital of Culture, the Streeta(rt)nimation festival will transform Luxembourg's city centre into a world of fantasy, wonder and laughter. Following the success of previous years, the festival will be held over two days, with street performances on both days.
This year, around 30 foreign street entertainment companies are touring this year with a hundred shows. Among the highlights announced include companies lsuch as Wazovol (B) D'Irque et Fien (B), la Compagnie Cycloplume (F), Swingzapoppin (B) and many others. Some shows are fixed, others are traveling and encourage spontaneous contact with the public across the capital. Stilt-walkers, acrobats, jugglers, dancers, comedians and circus people will enable the public to discover a world rich in colour and humour, representing the full range of silent and physical theater.
