Details: Ritchie Blackmore started in late 1997 with his wife, singer and songwriter Candice Night, the British musical group Blackmore's Night. Their style is based largely on the music of the Renaissance and folk. The music is based on current pop-rock song structures and takes the listener on a journey through the Middle Ages to modern times. The instruments Blackmore’s Night chose for their concerts consist of traditional musical instruments like the medieval shawm, the curved horn, whistle or the tin whistle.
The band in Minnesinger styleis composed by the regular band members David Bard on keyboards and Earl Grey on bass. For the concerts in 2012 the band get some guest musicians on stage.
The modern troubadours give concerts mainly in castles, palaces and churches. They say that they do not change the world with their albums but they make music for themselves and for other people.
