The Zentrum for politesch Bildung (ZpB) will organise a panel discussion entitled "Democracy at Risk? Is Citizenship Education the Answer?" at Neimënster Abbey (neimënster) in Luxembourg-Grund on Tuesday 13 October 2026 at 18:30.
The event will focus on the role of citizenship education and what democracy needs today, bringing together representatives from political science, the press, culture, social media and education.
Moderated by Caroline Mart, the panel will feature: Dr Matthias Busch, social science researcher at Trier University; Carole Lorang, Director of the Escher Theater; Cecilia Said Vieira, social media strategist and content creator; Amela Skenderovic, English teacher; Paul Weimerskirch, former Mayor of Schifflange; and Sidney Wiltgen, journalist and member of the Press Council.
The discussion will take place in Luxembourgish with simultaneous translation into French.
