Details:
The Indian Association Luxembourg (IAL) is organising a cricket event (formerly known as the Lagaan Cup) in Walferdange on the occasion of India's Independence Day on Saturday 15 August 2026.
The event will take place from 09:00 to 19:00 at the Pierre Werner Cricket Ground and will feature a six-a-side cricket tournament with four teams competing across ten matches in a five-over format, including semi-finals, a final and a mixed match promoting inclusivity.
According to the organisers, the programme will also include the Indian national anthem at noon, Indian food and refreshments, and an awards ceremony with special guests. The event is free to attend and open to the public.
