An event dedicated to Robert Baden-Powell is taking place on Tuesday 3 March 2026 at 18:30 on the University of Luxembourg's Limpertsberg Campus.

Organised in conjunction with Conférence St Yves, Lëtzebuerger Guiden a Scouten and the University of Luxembourg, the event will explore the legacy of Robert Baden-Powell and the foundations of scouting. The event will be held in French.

The programme will feature an introduction by Joanne Olivier, British Ambassador to Luxembourg. Philippe Maxence, author of Baden-Powell (Perrin, 2016) and Olav Baden-Powell (Artège, 2020), will deliver a presentation titled “L’ADN du Scoutisme avec Robert et Olav Baden-Powell” (The DNA of Scouting with Robert and Olav Baden-Powell). Assistant Professor Jean-Marie Weber, a member of the “Archives & Recherche” group of the Lëtzebuerger Guiden a Scouten, will then speak on “Baden-Powell et le Luxembourg: Héritage et Avenir” (Baden-Powell and Luxembourg: Heritage and Future).

Robert Baden-Powell was a British army officer who founded the scouting movement in 1907.
