Details: The 16th annual Spanish Film Festival is taking place from 12 June to 2 July at Ciné Utopia in Limpertsberg.
Along with Ciné Utopia, the Embassy of Spain and the Centre Català Luxemburg are partnering to present the 2013 Spanish Film Festival.
After a one-year hiatus, the festival is back with an interesting programme. No less than nine films will be shown during the three-week festival which features an eclectic selection of prolific Spanish productions.
The opening takes place with "La pistola en cada mano" which addresses the issue of male identity crisis through several episodes. The favourites for the 16th edition will probably include the revisited myth of Snow White "Blancanieves", the winner of the Goya 2013 with no less than 10 awards, or "No" by Pablo Larrain, which tells the true story of the Chilean referendum in 1988.
Please note that for "La Voz dormida", a historical film by the post-Civil War director Benito Zambrano will be presented on 21 June at 21:30. This event is made in collaboration with AREL.
