Details: This Friday 31 May, a new English-language Luxembourg film "Hellriders" is being screened at the Ciné Kinosch cinema in Esch-sur-Alzette at 21:00.
The 130 minute-long film was produced by Renegade Productions asbl which creates independent films made in Luxembourg, in English. It had a budget of €20k and features a 35-strong cast and crew.
Directed by Percy Lallemang, who also wrote the script, Hellriders is a post-apocalyptic western filmed on location across various old and abandoned industrial sites in the south of Luxembourg. Mankind is on the brink of extinction. It follows a group of desperate and violent individuals who roam the landscape in search for food, in a society of chaos and survival of the fittest. Ultimately, one of them turns out to be a saviour.
Percy is an English school teacher and many of the cast are pupils of the school where he teaches. His previous film, Symbiosis, was a modern adaptation of the story of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. His next film, Poodle & Black, is a currently pre-production and will be a police buddy comedy produced and shot in Luxembourg.
