The British-Luxembourg Society (BLS) is holding the Sir Winston Churchill Memorial Lecture 2024 at the Hémicycle in Luxembourg-Kirchberg on Tuesday 15 October at 18:00.

This year is the 150th anniversary of Sir Winston Churchill's birth and the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

The guest speaker for the 2024 lecture is Allen Packwood, Director of the Churchill Archives Centre at Churchill College, University of Cambridge. He wrote How Churchill Waged War and recently co-authored a book with Lord Dannatt - Churchill's D-Day, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

Other speakers include: Fleur Thomas, British Ambassador to Luxembourg; Louise Benjamin, BLS Vice-President; Sir Nicholas Forwood KC, Patron of BLS; Patrick Santer, Patron of BLS.
