Amnesty International Luxembourg has announced it will march for human rights this Sunday 10 December 2023, from 16:00 starting on Place d’Armes in Luxembourg-Ville.
On the occasion of Human Rights Day, the Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation called on everyone to come and bring torches and candles (the NGO’s symbol) to march in honour of human rights defenders and victims of violations of human rights and international humanitarian law.
In 2022, Amnesty International Luxembourg reported that it had broken its participation record with the mobilisation of nearly 250 people who braved the cold to walk the streets of the city in support of human rights. The organisation expressed its hope to break a new record this year to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration.
