Luxembourgs' Ministry of Education, Children and Youth is organising its traditional children's rights discovery day, "Kannerrechtsfest", at Parc Merveilleux in Bettembourg this Sunday 26 September 2021, from 09:30.
This year's event is dedicated to the right of every child to express his / her opinion and to be heard on any issue that concerns him / her.
Children and their parents will be able to discover children's rights through fun and educational activities organised by the children's rights service and various partner institutions and associations, namely: Ombudsman for children and youngsters (OKAJU); UP_Foundation and the TOTO bus; ECPAT Luxembourg; Kannerbureau Wooltz (KABU); Zentrum fir politesch Bildung (ZpB); Eltereschoul Janusz Korczak; UNICEF Luxembourg; BEE SECURE (National Youth Service / SNJ); Bientraitance; Association luxembourgeoise de pédiatrie sociale (Alupse); National Office for Children (ONE); Familljen-Center; Kanner-Jugendtelefon (KJT); AFP-Solidarité-Famille asbl.

09:30: Park opening
11:00: Welcome speech by Education Minister Claude Meisch
12:30: Magic show #1 on chidlren's rights, organised by ECPAT Luxembourg and performed by magician Animatrix in the "Amazonia" room (limited places, first come first served)
14:30: Magic show #2
16:30: Magic show #3
Throughout the day, various other fun and educational activities are planned, including interviews (UP_Foundation's TOTO bus), a quiz, postcards and passports on children's rights. Several information stands will also be on site.
Park entry fees as well as current government COVID-19 measures (no CovidCheck, wearing a mask mandatory for over-6s, social distancing) apply.
