On Monday 14 September 2026, LetzToken, a Luxembourg-based platform specialising in tokenisation, announced the appointment of Petra Krizan as Chief Strategy Officer to support the development of its shared register infrastructure for regulated fund operations.
Petra Krizan joins LetzToken from The Blockhouse Technology in Luxembourg, where she served as Managing Director, overseeing production blockchain infrastructure, digital asset custody and digital identity systems.
According to LetzToken, its first product will focus on fund back-office operations. The company aims to provide a single register maintained on distributed ledger technology under Luxembourg's Blockchain Law IV, allowing the parties involved in fund operations to work from the same register rather than reconciling separate records.
Payment and settlement flows will remain outside the system during the initial phase. LetzToken plans to connect financial flows to the same register during a second phase of development.
"We are not a licence shop and we are not trying to become one," said Arthur Salkin, CEO of LetzToken. "The mandate belongs to the firms that already hold it. Our job is to give them a register that works, starting with the back office, and to grow with them as the financial flows move onto the same rail," he continued.
Petra Krizan added: "Starting in the back office is a deliberate sequence. Reconciliation is where the cost and the operational risk actually sit, and it is the part you can fix without touching anyone's payment infrastructure. Building it under MiCA, DORA and AMLR is a compliance problem before it is an engineering problem, and Luxembourg is the only jurisdiction where the legal foundation is already in place."
LetzToken noted that it does not hold a licence and is not applying for one. Under its model, licensed transfer agents, alternative investment fund managers (AIFMs) or fund administrators retain their mandates and operate the control agent function provided for under Blockchain Law IV, while LetzToken supplies the underlying infrastructure.
Petra Krizan holds a master's degree in robotics from FER Zagreb in Croatia and has experience in automotive systems, computer vision, software security and blockchain. She is also an adjunct professor at HEC Liège Luxembourg, where she teaches a blockchain and big data elective as part of an MBA programme delivered with the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology.
