In light of Germany's decision to impose stricter border controls to combat the spread of coronavirus, Luxembourg's Ministry of State has announced that increased border controls will be implemented between Germany and Luxembourg in the coming days.
To facilitate the entry of cross-border workers into the Grand Duchy during such border controls, the Luxembourg government has issued a certificate to demonstrate the need to cross the German-Luxembourg border for employment reasons.
This certificate must be shown at border crossings if necessary. Indeed, the certificate will exclude commuters from restrictions on border crossings.
