Luxembourg's Ministry of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy has published details of the new minimum salaries in the Grand Duchy which came into effect on 1 January 2020, following December's rise in the consumer price index which triggered the automatic indexation.

The 2.5% rise in salaries now means that the minimum monthly salary in Luxembourg is €2,141.99 (for over 18s), with a minimum hourly rate of €12.3815. The minimum salary for qualified people is now €2,570.39.

For 17- to 18-year-olds, the minimum monthly salary is set at €1,713.60 (min. hourly rate: €9.9052), whilst that of 15- to 17-year-olds is set at €1,606.50 (min. hourly rate: €9.2861).
