The national hotel and catering federation HORESCA and the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce have launched the "Dreamjobs Ambassadors" campaign.

Launched at the end of last month in partnership with the Ministry of the Economy - General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, the Dreamjobs Ambassadors campaign aims to promote, develop and honour the talent of professions within the hotel and catering industry in Luxembourg.

In this context, the campaign is searching for eight ambassadors to promote the professions of cook, waiter and/or bartender. A jury will select the candidates who will lend their voice to these professions and be their spokespersons for future generations.

Anyone with relevant training as a cook or waiter / bartender who also has three years of professional experience can register to become an ambassador by 20 December 2019 on the website www.dreamjobs-ambassadors.lu.

The jury is made up of representatives of HORESCA, the École d’Hôtellerie et de Tourisme du Luxembourg (EHTL) and the Lycée Technique de Bonnevoie (LTB), as well as a delegation of the Chamber of Commerce. Together, they will select eight ambassadors (four in each category) to be presented on television. The best ambassador in each category will be rewarded on 13 March 2020 during an event that will take place as part of the Springbreak event at Luxexpo The Box. The two winners will win a trip to the Dubai World Expo 2020.

Among the objectives of this campaign are to stimulate the desire to learn one of the professions of this industry, promote know-how, reinforce information on the branches of the industry in Luxembourg and provide a platform to increase the visibility of the sector.
