The 13th edition of the Forum for Safety and Health at Work took place on Wednesday 27 March 2019, at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce Conference Centre.

Organised by the AAA, the UEL and the INDR, the forum is part of the national strategy "VISION ZERO", launched three years ago by six ministries and three national unions in a common effort to continuously decrease the number of serious and fatal accidents at work.

The event attracted many attendees, including Luxembourg Minister of Social Security Romain Schneider and Tom Oberweis, Vice-President of the UEL and INDR and President of the Chambre des Métiers. The witnesses of the VISION ZERO media campaign also actively participated in this forum.

The national developments of the VISION ZERO were presented at the forum, which also provided information on the good practices of the companies involved, the existing approaches and standards in terms of safety, health and well-being in the workplace and labour and corporate social responsibility. For example, Tralux Construction presented its project C.A.P.S. - Companion Actor of Prevention and Security, which won the National Health and Safety Award in 2018 in the category of business safety with more than 50 employees. For its part, the Centre Hospitalier du Nord presented its action plan # Bewosst_Sécher_Gesond and shared its good practices in the prevention of psychosocial risks. Indeed, since its launch three years ago, more than 170 companies have joined VISION ZERO.

The next forum including stands and workshops will take place on 29 April 2020 at LUXEXPO THE BOX, Luxembourg-Kirchberg. On this occasion, the National Health and Safety Award will again be awarded to innovative companies in this field.
